As Mentoring Program Director, Jennifer “Jenny” Hunt works closely with each graduate to identify their life skills needs. She pairs them with a mentor and case manager to provide continuing care after full-time treatment, while establishing and building a relationship of trust. She works closely with the rest of the clinical team to coordinate aftercare for clients and provide a safe, supportive environment for healing.
Jenny has worked in the healthcare industry for 10 years, including 5 years in the field of mental health/substance abuse. She graduated with a bachelor’s of science from the University of Miami in 2004. Since graduating, Jenny has perused employment in several different fields (including software development, insurance law, and general office administration), but found her true calling in substance abuse treatment – helping others receive the gift of sobriety. To that end, Jenny earned her Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) License in 2015. Jenny is in recovery herself and is an active member of South Florida’s recovery community. She is pursuing a master’s of social work (MSW) degree at Florida Atlantic University to enable her to better serve those suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorders.
A native Floridian, Jenny is a member of Mensa International, and in her free time enjoys reading, yoga, and SCUBA diving in the Florida Keys.
