Addiction Recovery and Treatment Programs in Florida

Addiction, although it can be extremely debilitating, is a treatable disorder. Fortunately, there is no lack of treatment for those living in the United States, and our recovery treatment center provides some of the best rehabilitation services.

There are a variety of available options, but what is most important is that those in need of treatment locate the right option for themselves.

Our Addiction Treatment Options

Effective treatment is a combination of treating substance abuse along with assessing and improving mental health, case management and behavior. While most treatment centers offer some, if not all, of these, there are different options for how that treatment will be delivered based on the individual’s needs.

Medical Detox

For most, undergoing one of our addiction recovery programs in Florida starts with a medical detox. The detoxing process deals with the symptoms of withdrawal by assigning a treatment team to assess and monitor the biological and psychological symptoms of the patient.

Depending on the substance that was abused, withdrawal symptoms can be life-threatening. A medical detox provides for the availability of medical supervision should these symptoms cause complications in the process.

There are many different kinds of medical detox that can be tailored to any individual case, and asking the appropriate questions to receive the correct treatment is essential to its success.

Additionally, it is important to recognize that a medical detox should not be the only kind of drug rehabilitation utilized. It is meant to be followed by behavioral therapy and other treatment as part of your rehabilitation program.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP is an addiction treatment and therapy program designed for those who are seeking intensive care but are medically stable enough to return to a safe, stable home environment at night.

That being said, treatment in this program still provides a structured, rigorous daily schedule with access to resources and guidance to eliminate addiction in the way that is best for the patient.

The relative freedom at night allows for the patient to continue to interact socially with supportive family and friends in a familiar environment.

Inpatient Rehabilitation

Inpatient rehab centers house patients around the clock. These programs are most beneficial to those who struggle with known mental health disorders in addition to addiction.

Whereas those in PHP have a stable home environment to return to, patients at 24-hour rehabilitation centers may not have good relationships with family or their home environment is especially triggering for their respective disorder.

Group therapy sessions are utilized often in inpatient centers to encourage socializing regardless of whether the patient returns home often or not.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Even those who are in good physical health and benefit from a safe, stable home environment but have suffered with addiction are still entitled to a structured treatment program.

An IOP allows for the patient to benefit from what their personal life is already offering in terms of recovery and have access to intensive care at least nine hours a week.

For many, an IOP is a step taken after some form of inpatient recovery to continue to provide treatment at the end of rehabilitation. Most of the same benefits of inpatient addiction recovery services are offered with an IOP, but just at a less frequent rate.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient care is different than the IOP in that it requires a lower level of medical supervision and a looser treatment plan that does not affect the daily schedule as much. A patient who is in the outpatient care stage can begin to re-participate in society while attending treatment on a less intense scale. In contrast to inpatient and/or intensive programs, simple outpatient care is much more cost effective and practical for those who are not in immediate danger of relapse.

Residential Inpatient Treatment

For patients suffering from serious addiction disorders, we recommend residential inpatient treatment. As a resident, you’ll have access to resources, support, and various therapy options for your recovery. The length of your stay will depend on the severity of your condition.

While at one of our facilities, you’ll be able to form relationships with our staff and community. These relationships will become strong sources of support in your recovery even after your treatment is over.

Finding the Best Addiction Treatment for You

Before committing to one specific program, there are a few questions that must be considered. It is important to assess the severity and duration of the addiction as well as how exactly it has affected the individual’s life in a negative way. Additionally, both the cost of certain programs and the nature of the programs that the patient may have participated in in the past should be considered.
